FROM THE ARCHIVE: Digital screen design for the big Show Open at the 67th Annual Tony Awards

One of my favorite moments from the 5 years I spent on the Tonys. This is from the 2013 show.

During the dress rehearsal that morning, at the end of this Opening Number, they set off 2 giant confetti canons which covered Radio City Music Hall’s theater in millions of tiny pieces of paper. I wish they could have done it for the actual broadcast, but they quickly found out there was no way they could clean everything up in time on live TV.
